Though the story did not name a source, according to CBS News “the $200 million claim was credited to ‘a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit.’” Though the White House claims the cost to have “no basis in reality” it was a hot topic in today’s White House press briefing."
How does that make you feel that $200 million a day is being spent? A better question would be "WHY?!" He rented the Tashma hall? Why? The most expencive building to rent? And who gets to pay for it? The tax payers!
